U.S. Polo Assn., the official sports brand of the United States Polo Association (USPA), marked a significant milestone in 2025 with its debut as Title Sponsor of the U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon delivers a high-energy international race weekend in Downtown West Palm Beach.
The 2025 Palm Beaches Marathon attracted more than 6,100 runners from 29 countries and 46 U.S. states, reinforcing its status as one of South Florida’s fastest-growing endurance events. As a Boston Marathon qualifier, the race drew elite and amateur athletes alike, supported by more than 200 volunteers, including employees from USPA Global. This company manages the multi-billion-dollar U.S. Polo Assn. brand. The event received extensive regional exposure through a five-hour live broadcast on WPBF 25, the official ABC affiliate in West Palm Beach.
International Winners Lead the Field
The full marathon men’s title was claimed by Ivan Gabriel Mafla Bolanos of Ecuador, who finished in 2:37:56 after traveling more than 15 hours to compete in South Florida. In the women’s race, Costa Rica’s Teresita Granados Solis crossed the finish line first with a time of 3:06:55, securing her third career marathon victory and second win of 2025.
Runners participated across multiple race categories, including the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, and Marathon Relay, all set along the scenic Palm Beaches waterfront course. Each participant received a commemorative U.S. Polo Assn. performance race shirt and a custom finishing medal inspired by the region’s vibrant colors. The first 135 marathon finishers also earned a limited-edition runner’s cap in recognition of the United States Polo Association’s 135th anniversary.
Brand Engagement and Community Impact
Beyond the races, U.S. Polo Assn. enhanced the athlete and spectator experience with an interactive polo ball activation adjacent to the race expo stage. The activation allowed guests of all ages to engage with the brand’s heritage through photo opportunities and hands-on activities.
“The U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon race weekend reflected everything we value as a global sport and lifestyle brand, including community, sport, philanthropy, and teamwork,” said J. Michael Prince, President and CEO of USPA Global and U.S. Polo Assn. “Seeing thousands of runners cross the finish line and connect with our brand was truly inspiring.”
Participants also rallied behind charitable causes, raising funds for Palm Beach Roadrunners, Special Olympics Florida, and Quantum House, three organizations with a significant impact across Palm Beach County.
Kenneth R. Kennerly, CEO of K2 Sports Ventures, owner and operator of The Palm Beaches Marathon, praised the partnership, noting that U.S. Polo Assn.’s involvement elevated the overall event experience and strengthened its connection to the local community.
Looking Ahead to 2026
With strong international participation, successful fundraising, and increased media visibility, organizers have already begun planning for the 2026 U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon. The event is expected to build momentum and further establish itself as a premier annual tradition on South Florida’s sports and fitness calendar.
The 2025 race weekend concluded with U.S. Polo Assn. congratulating all runners, volunteers, partners, and supporters who contributed to what organizers described as one of the most successful editions of the Palm Beaches Marathon to date.
