Join the Port of Gulfport and Mississippi Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce Mr. Andy Gipson in learning about the future of multi-temperature cold storage and distribution solutions coming to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, via the Port of Gulfport.
On May 18, 2023, the Port will host a Lunch & Learn event to educate current and potential partners on the value and opportunities surrounding bringing a new cold storage facility to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Attendees will hear from Mississippi Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce Mr. Andy Gipson, as well as Jon Nass, the CEO & Executive Director of the Port of Gulfport. Other local and state elected officials will be present to lend support and learn more about the economic impact such a facility is expected to bring to the area.
The proposed multiple-temperature storage and distribution facility will fill a tremendous gap in the need for cold storage on the central Gulf Coast. Located just minutes from the Deepwater Port, the 38-acre site will be phased in with an initial 100,000 sq. ft. multi-temperature facility. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to meet the needs of today and well into the future.
