The life of an entrepreneur is full of ups and downs, just like a roller coaster ride. Some days you experience great profits, and then there are other days when your business doesn’t seem to be doing at its best. At the same time, an entrepreneur is exposed to many learning opportunities in the process of launching his enterprise. He not only experiences the joy of gain but also takes up the challenges that come his way. Digging into the same well-known entrepreneurs, one such is Filip Boksa, the founder of the King of Maids and BookingKoala, who gave up on his leisure activities to succeed in his business ventures.
Filip started out as a teenager helping his father in their carpeting business. He has been a hustler since his early days and always found new ways of earning a side income along with his studies. His brainstorming led to the launch of King of Maids, which he founded with one of his friends. They both invested $6000 in the startup, which culminated in $5,000,000 in combined revenue in just a matter of three years. This phenomenal achievement boosted Boska’s confidence and led to another venture called BookingKoala, which is today home to thousands of entrepreneurs.
When Filip saw his business growing, he eventually dropped out to pursue entrepreneurship full-time. His venture, BookingKoala, is a bootstrapped initiative that he started without support of any outside capital. It was only his self-belief and confidence that made him launch the business with his team. Now Filip aims to make BookingKoala a unicorn a few years down the line.
Like everyone else, Filip also had his own personal time, which he used to relish, which included his relationship and travel leisure. But he managed all the menial tasks single-handedly and was exposed to a lot of learning in the process. At some point, Filip reached a stage where he could delegate the less important tasks and focus on major ones. By that time, he knew everything that went on inside and outside of a business.
Filip has a message to give to all aspiring entrepreneurs. He advises them to focus on enhancing their client base while emphasizing creativity and innovation. Filip says that since we all live in a world of social media, we should know how to utilize it to our benefit. “It just goes to show you that if you keep on working hard, doors will open themselves up for you. I never thought of building something like BookingKoala, but when the opportunity opened up, I went for it, “says the Polish entrepreneur.
