The Shaya Family was awarded the prestigious Order of Charity Award from Ascension Health for their lifelong devotion to serving their community. Mary Shaya and the late Dr. Fawzi Shaya, and their entire family were celebrated for their commitment to healthcare and humanitarian efforts around the world.
“I am deeply honored to receive the Order of Charity Award with my family. This award is a testament to our tireless work dedicated to advancing healthcare access and improving the lives of individuals in need,” Mary Shaya remarked. “My family has always been my rock, and I am grateful for the 51 years I had with my beloved husband, Dr. Fawzi Shaya. Together, we built J&B Medical with the shared mission to make the world better through healthcare. This award affirms our mission and reminds us of the importance of family and the power of love, compassion, and resilience in driving positive change in the world.”
As a symbol of appreciation, the Shaya Family was presented with a crystal plaque etched with the beautiful design entitled “The Spirit of Charity.” The plaque replicates the sculpture that greets all Ascension Providence Hospital Novi visitors. The Shaya family feels honored to receive this distinguished award, and they remain deeply committed to improving the lives of others.
